Scheduling Your Ceremony

Once you've chosen the date for your wedding or civil union ceremony, it is important to contact me as soon as possible to determine my availability.  I will need to know the following:

  • Date of the wedding or civil union ceremony
  • Place where ceremony is to take place
  • Time of ceremony
  • First names of the parties as they wish to be referred to in their ceremony
  • Contact phone numbers and e-mail addresses of both parties

Additionally, I will need to know the following in order to prepare a ceremony that best suits the preferences and wishes of the parties:

  • Whether or not the bride will be taking the groom's last name
  • Whether or not either party has any objection to the reference to God in their ceremony
  • Whether it will be a single or double-ring ceremony
  • Whether the parties wish to exchange custom or traditional vows
  • Whether the parties wish to include any readings by others

  • CONFIRMATION:   In order to eliminate any possibility of confusion it is imperative that all weddings and civil union ceremonies be confirmed 48 hours prior to the date and time scheduled.  Such confirmation serves not only to alleviate some of the premaritial jitters often felt by the participants, but also serves to confirm any last-minute changes to the ceremony.

  • Ceremonies are performed aboard the River Belle and River Queen ONLY.
